Green Thinking Action Party · Kenya
By registering as a member of the Green Thinking Action Party (GTAP) in Kenya, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully.
By registering, you formally align yourself with the Green Thinking Action Party (GTAP) and agree to uphold its Constitution, manifestos, and the internal regulations passed by its governing bodies. Your membership signifies commitment to the party's mission of environmental conservation and sustainable development in Kenya.
You confirm that the information provided during registration, including your full name, date of birth, identification number, and contact details, is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. You accept full responsibility for any issues, including membership suspension or legal consequences, arising from false or misleading information.
To register as a member of GTAP, you must be a Kenyan citizen, meet the legal age of majority (18 years), and not be disqualified from political participation by any Kenyan law. Persons serving sentences for election offenses or those declared bankrupt by a court of law are ineligible for membership.
The Green Thinking Action Party reserves the right to review, and if necessary, reject any membership application. This right may be exercised if an applicant is found ineligible, provides fraudulent information, has a history of actions contrary to environmental conservation, or whose membership is deemed prejudicial to the interests of the Party. Rejected applicants will be notified within 14 days.
By becoming a member, you consent to receive official party communications, updates on green initiatives, calls to action, and other information via SMS, bulk messaging, email, and short codes. Standard network charges may apply as determined by your service provider. You may opt out of non-essential communications by updating your preferences in your member profile.
You acknowledge that membership may be subject to an annual subscription or registration fee, as determined by the relevant GTAP departments.
You agree to support the objectives, principles, and policies of GTAP, particularly those focused on environmental conservation, social justice, and sustainable development. Members are encouraged to participate in tree-planting drives, clean-up campaigns, voter education, and party activities. Active participation may be considered for leadership opportunities within the party.
You agree to refrain from any conduct—online or offline—that could bring the Green Thinking Action Party into disrepute, harm its reputation, or undermine its core values of sustainability, integrity, and democratic participation. This includes hate speech, tribalism, corruption, environmental degradation, or any actions violating the party's code of ethics.
You consent to GTAP collecting, storing, and utilizing your personal data for purposes directly related to party administration, internal research, voter registration drives, and communicating the party's message, in compliance with the Kenyan Data Protection Act (2019). Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent except as required by law. You may request data deletion upon leaving the party.
The Green Thinking Action Party reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect changes in the law, party strategy, or operational requirements. Members will be notified of significant changes via email or SMS. Continued membership following such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
You acknowledge that GTAP is a registered political party and that your membership is subject to the Constitution of Kenya (2010), the Political Parties Act (2011), the Elections Act (2011), and any other relevant legislation governing political activities in Kenya.
You explicitly understand and agree that registration as a member, payment of fees, or participation in party activities does not guarantee a political appointment, party nomination for a seat, or an endorsement by GTAP in any election. All nominations follow a competitive and transparent process outlined in the party constitution.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Green Thinking Action Party, its officials, agents, and volunteers from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your actions as a member that are contrary to these terms or applicable laws. This includes legal fees incurred in defending such claims.
The Green Thinking Action Party shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage that may arise from your use of the party's digital platforms, websites, or third-party services used for registration. This includes data breaches beyond the party's reasonable control or technical failures.
Any disputes arising from membership or these terms shall first be addressed through internal party mechanisms as outlined in the GTAP Constitution before any external legal action is pursued. This includes mediation by the party's internal disputes resolution committee within 30 days of formal complaint.
By submitting your registration details for GTAP party membership, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
